Critique by The-Theory-Liz Mar 16, 2011, 6:42:19 PM
The first part of this photograph that I find attractive is the framing of the steel arches to the right and go outward to a little over the center position of the frame. The shadows are cast in the water makes this piece seem wider than it is.

The color in this piece is somewhat monotone (with dark and green hues), but it works with the piece in a good way.

In terms of improvement this piece seems a bit grainy (noise?), especially in the sky, no so much so were it will distract the viewer, however it is still there. On second glance, this piece seems a bit tilted in terms of horizon line, but that could be so you could catch the angle of the arches better (which is perfectly understandable). Though, it would be better if the horizon line was straight. It would make the photograph pop that much more.

Overall, this is a very unique picture and I think the architecture and simplicity of this piece are what make this a unique photo.

This photo is bone chilling, to say the least. It leaves a lasting impact that keeps viewers gazing off into it's dark blue hues.
I love every single vibe that this photo radiates, and the way everything seems to be reflected by the water.
The photo is slightly grainy, but considering the fact that it was taken at night, it's perfectly understandable. I love the empty feel, it gives off the impression of a modern day ghost town, or ghost city.
The trees towards the right adds more to the picture than one might notice right away. The reflection in the water kind of looks like an EKG, if you squint your eyes enough. A great analogy for the way your heart races when you encounter a paranormal being.

Over all, I love the blend of architecture, and nature in the shot.
I give this photo two thumbs up.
Good job! :)

the bones of the creature lay bleached by the sun... stripped of all that identifed it as a beast once feared...years of wind and smokless decay had stolen the last remaining thing such a creature desired...no one remembered who it was or the terrible deeds that once caused such terror...its open mouth could bo longer bellow with rage...now only wind and rain found a home between what jagged teeth remained...
